Over it.

 I’ve nearly finished a semester at York University. And to be honest I was over the school even before I accepted, and I tell that to everyone. Don’t get me wrong the program is actually good, (I know a good program at York). But it’s this extra bull-shit of classes we have to take. Trust me I see the value of taking other courses that isn’t about design, but I’M SORRY I CAME HERE FOR DESIGN! Theres a reason why I didn’t take science in my last year of high-school. I honestly feel like I’m in high-school, having to take mandatory courses in-order to continue year 1. I may be bitter because I’m probably failing 3courses, but it’s 3 flipping courses I hate. I know it’s university and it’s hard but if I get kicked out for not getting high marks for NON design courses, but doing pretty well in design courses then why kick me out of a DESIGN program?! 

   I’m also over Thornhill/North York. Sorry York you’re not in T.O, I have 10other international students who are let down of the location. I live 15min drive my york and a 5min drive from my high-school, so I feel like I’m not growing as a person. Luckily there are events that my program holds downtown and it just makes me want to go to OCAD or another school. Yes the program is great but it’s not the best guys. I’m not liking the fact that people also think that because you don’t go to York you’re not as prepared, it may be true but other programs are just as good. 

     So why York? 1 main reason. Exchange. other schools that I have applied to did not have exchange or were not all design. I did have the chance to go to NSCAD but I was naive and hell bent on exchange. But now I doubt I’ll get it, and even want it, if I have to take another year. 

  This is just a rant, because I hate my NATS class and how my whole day is not design.
